All right, so there probably won’t be a whole lot of shaking involved, but it fit.
Implicate Evolution is going the way of the dodo– that is to say, extinct –sort of. If you’re at all concerned about this, go back to the top of this post, read the quote and come back.
Okay, so we’re good, right? I’m moving all of the content on IEvo over to a new website that I’ve been working on, which I will link to once it’s all ready to go. All the articles that are currently up here will be there, meaning nothing will be lost.
Why the move? In short, Implicate Evolution is good but not what I want it to be– I want it to be great. And to do that, I need to change a few things. First and foremost, I need to write more honestly. What I write in the articles on this site are not lies– they are strategies that I have used to change my life, but I haven’t always stuck with them and they weren’t always easy. I can tell you from my own experience that nothing is more frustrating than reading an article written by someone who appears to have all their ducks in a row all the time. Even if the advice is good, you still end up feeling like crap when you’re done because you’re not where you want to be.
Let me tell you a secret: I’m not where I want to be. Surprise! I have lots of stuff to work on, just like you probably do. As we all do! But I am happy, and I do have things I have succeeded at, and I still want to share those things and help move whoever reads the content on this site or the new site towards a better life.
Secondly, IEvo has become a gigantic text repository. I’m a visual person, and even though I’ve waded through my fair share of personal development books, and I’ve also written a couple of novels (sans pictures, of course) I find that I like beautiful art and beautiful photography. Because it plays such a big part in our lives, I want the new site to be more of a visual experience. I will still strive to have meaningful content, the only difference will be that you’ll have some nice pictures to look at as well.
Finally, although I enjoy the meaning behind the name ‘Implicate Evolution’, it’s not an easy name to remember. Every time I tell someone about my site, I usually have to write down the name, spell it out, or remind them what it was called again and again. The bottom line is that if I want the content of this site to reach out and help as many people as it can, (And I do, more than anything, I do.) then the name has to be something simple that people can remember.
As soon as the new site is up and running, I’ll link to it here so that you know where I’ll be. For those of you who are still with me, thank you for your continued readership, and I hope that what I’m working on now will be better than what I was able to create here.
See you soon.
